Cooking workshops are “special educational activities”; they offer students the opportunity to learn about Italian traditions and culture and to experience the hospitality of a population that is strongly attached to its roots. The authentic cookery workshops allow you to explore the dishes typical of the region, which are not limited to pasta and pizza!
Our cuisine is one of the richest and most varied of Italy, thanks to the climate and geographic location (nestled between the sea and the mountains): spaghetti with clams, pizza, buffalo mozzarella, Caprese salad, aubergine parmigiana, baba, sfogliatelle…, there is something for everyone, even those with the most discerning palates.
Lessons are not taught by TV celebrities or starred chefs but by Italian grandmothers who have spent most of their life preparing dishes for the whole family and who still use the recipes passed down through generations. Remember: cooking is never just about cooking; it’s about love, family, traditions, and spending time with our loved ones.
On Sundays, Italian women traditionally make fresh home-made pasta for lunch. You can’t get married in the South of Italy unless you know how to make fusilli or ravioli! You will learn traditional skills passed down from generation to generation: how to make homemade pasta, rolling techniques and how to create different shapes with your hands.
A two-hour workshop with the family, in which you will make and try delicious dishes.
Do you know why Campania has the best pizza in the world? Because we have the best ingredients: Mozzarella di Bufala, made from the milk of buffaloes raised in the area, the San Marzano Tomato, a local tomato variety with protected designation of origin [DOP], and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, produced in local oil mills.
A two-hour workshop in a local pizzeria, where you will make, cook and eat your own pizza.
You will be introduced to the world of crochet and learn the basic terminology, the classic stitches and how to make your first doily.
A good grip, steady hand and patience are all you need to start. A desire to learn and spend few hours together is also important.
Workshops are open to all. Children are welcome.
